The Data General RG-S5310-48GP4X-1440W is a full-gigabit access switch tailored for large enterprises and campus LANs. It offers 48 auto-negotiation 10/100/1000BASE-T ports with PoE/PoE+ support, providing up to 15.4W per port for IEEE 802.3af-compliant devices and up to 30W per port for IEEE 802.3at-compliant devices, making it ideal for applications like security surveillance, teleconferencing, and wireless coverage. Additionally, the switch includes 4 1GE/10GE SFP+ uplink ports for high-speed data transmission.

The switch supports Virtual Switch Unit (VSU) virtualization technology, allowing multiple physical switches to be virtualized into a single logical unit. This feature enhances flexible networking, high performance, and simplifies network maintenance by eliminating loops and improving reliability.
